The first thing I did was to take the colour out and use a Filter...blur, glass. This gave the apples a glazed toffee apple look. I like greyscale as one can really appreciate the shapes and shadows without the distraction of colour.

I absolutely adore what you've done with these pictures! I MUST get this program! Which Photoshop is it? Is it $$$? Is it hard to learn? It's obvious that you had too much fun playing with the images :-)
